ICU6

Why ICU6?

Because millions of citizens suffer every day from scams, identity theft and misinformation — and we can change that with a method, tools and an organized community.

What we bring

ICU6 makes digital protection accessible to everyone: simple reflexes, concrete tools, and the support of a vigilant community.

  • Clear reflexes to recognize scams and manipulation.
  • Tools to report, verify and track alerts.
  • A community of volunteers and experts to analyze and validate.
  • Fast and transparent dissemination of verified results.

A simple observation

  • Scams evolve faster than protection measures.
  • Citizens are often alone facing the risks.
  • Institutions lack reactivity and reach.
  • Verified information must be shared and useful.

Our conviction

No one should face these risks alone. Digital protection is a common good we build with and for civil society.

Frequently asked questions

Is ICU6 an NGO or an association?
ICU6 is a citizen, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to protect people from digital threats (scams, identity theft, disinformation). We operate as an association with transparent governance and actions open to volunteers.
How are reports verified?
Each report goes through (1) automated checks (duplicate detection, domain/link reputation, technical signals) and (2) double human validation by trained volunteers. We look for evidence (screenshots, email headers, links, WHOIS); if uncertain, the report is labeled 'to watch' rather than published.
Can I help if I’m not an expert?
Yes! We need many profiles: review/validation, translation, victim support, writing, monitoring, design, development, data, etc. Short training and guides are provided, and you start in a pair.
What does my donation fund?
Your donation funds platform hosting and security, open tools for reporting and analysis, citizen verification (training and coordination of volunteers), educational content, support to scammed people, and awareness actions. No ads, no data resale.
